Communication in the Supply Chain Regarding Product END-USES

Below is an overview of the sectors of use and categories which will be updated regularly. Please check and complete your registration where applicable.

Last update November 19, 2009

Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 requires communication in the supply chain between Manufacturers/Importers and their downstream users to identify product END-USES. Substances categorized as non-hazardous are exempt from this requirement.

Quaker has identified the main set of END-USES for the products (mixtures) Epmar places on the market. This set of END-USES is based on industry, downstream user association recommendations, and product manager know how. The END-USES are identified in a standard format that utilizes the ECHA Use Descriptor System (www.echa.europa.eu, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, Chapter R.12: Use descriptor system).

This standard format provides the basis for making a Chemical Safety Assessment, which is a key step in accurate and complete substance registration under REACH.   Listed below are the use descriptors that will be communicated in the supply chain.
